In boys’ soccer action last night:
At Gibson Southern:
The Vincennes Lincoln Aices saw their season come to an end with a 1-0 loss to Southridge. The game was scoreless at halftime, but a lone second-half goal by the Raiders eliminated LHS, and moved Southridge into tomorrow night’s semifinals. The Alices end a stellar season at 15-2.
At Northeast Dubois:
The Rivet Patriots came close, but Barr-Reeve defeated the Patriots in the opening round of that sectional 3-2. A deciding second-half goal advanced the Vikings into Thirsday night’s semifinal against Washington Catholic.
Rivet ends the season at 7-9-2, Barr-Reeve goes into tomorrow night’s semifinal at 14=3.
IHSAA Soccer action continues tonight across the area.
In Girls’ soccer:
Three Knox County teams will be in semifinal action at South Knox. The host Lady Spartans will face the North Knox Lady Warriors, while the Rivet Lady Patriots get Pike Central in the other semifinal. The winners will play in the sectional final at 2 pm Saturday.
In other girls’ soccer tournament play at White River Valley tonight, White River Valley will face Barr-Reeve, and Bloomfield gets Northeast Dubois. Sullivan faces host Northview in the 2-A Soccer Sectional at Northview. Finally, at Washington, Gibson Southern plays Heritage Hills, while the homestanding Lady Hatchets will go against Southridge.

At Northeast Dubois, the host Jeeps face Pike Central, while North Knox takes on county rival South Knox.
At Mitchell, Lighthouse Christian Academy gets Mitchell, while White River Valley take on Shoals.

The South Knox Spartans saw a great season come to an end, with a 5-0 regional loss to Jasper. The loss ends the Spartans’ season at an impressive 19-5.
In volleyball:
The Vincennes Lincoln Lady Alices lost in four sets to Evansville Memorial The two split the first two sets before the Lady Tigers took the last twoto take the match.
Alivia Eaton led with 11 kills for LHS, with Hadley Piper adding 18 assists and 11 digs. Cami Treadway added 15 digs and 8 kills on the night. Emma Cunningham led in points for Lincln with 10.
The South Knox Lady Spartans lost to Loogootee in three sets, 25-21, 25-23, and 25-18. Brooklyn Flanigam led with a triple double—with 11 kills, 10 assists, and 12 digs. Tylee Wall had 11 service points, while Maddie Short added 11 digs.
The North Knox Lady Warriors lost in three sets to Sullivan. The Lady Arrows took the match 25-12, 25-20, and 25-13.
Katie Wolfe led with 10 digs for North Knox; she also added 8 assists.
