Utility work continues on Washington Avenue, to prepare for actual tear-down and resurfacing on that stretch of Vincennes street. Washington Avenue will be affected from Emison to Saint Clair for that work.
Vincennes City Councilman, and former Vincennes City Engineer, Marc McNeece hopes there are no surprises when work crews rip up the old road, The work will mean some discomfort for drives who usually take that stretch of Washington Avenue. However, McNeece knows it will be worth it down the road.
The project will also include improvements to the intersection of Washington and Saint Clair. Road work is expected to begin in the first months of next year.
