Back to school stop-arm violations are still a problem in parts of Knox County. Drivers are reminded in the county, in every instance, when a school bus extends a stop arm, traffic must stop in both directions.
Even a month into school season, Knox County Sheriff Doug Vantlin says it is still a problem.
Sheriff’s officials remind you newer buses—and all buses in the North Knox area—have cameras to record stop arm violations. Those potential offenders will be ticketed through the mail, if they are accused of violating a school bus stop arm.
