With hot weather in the forecast for this week, one place expected to have great crowds is the Rainbow Beach Family Aquatic Center. The pool at Gregg Park is already seeing good crowds this year, despite a wet month of June.
Vincennes Parks Department director J-R Field expected the good crowds so far, based on what he heard before the pool opened in late May. Among the larger events earlier this month was the annual Vincennes Triathlon. Field admits hosting that event was a new experience.
Rainbow Beach is open each day from noon to six, weather allowing. Groups may also rent the pool out for parties as needed after it closes to the public each day.
