Beverly Sue Patton, age 86, of Bicknell, Indiana, passed away on February 5, 2026, in the town where she was born on September 20, 1939. She lived a full and meaningful life rooted in family, hard work, and the community she called home throughout her years.
Throughout her working years, Beverly served in several roles that reflected her dedication and versatility. She worked at the Bicknell newspaper, the Bicknell Elks, the Bicknell Country Club, and a prison. In each place, she was respected for her reliability and her willingness to do what was needed. Her work touched many lives and became part of the lasting impression she left on her community.
Beverly enjoyed a life filled with the things she loved most. She loved sports and gardening and especially enjoyed being outside. She found happiness in cooking, music, and dancing, and those interests brought energy and joy to her days.
Family was central to Beverly’s life. She is survived by her children, Greg Patton (Sheila), Brad Patton (Sun), and Michelle Hiatt. She also leaves behind thirteen grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren, all of whom were blessed by her love and presence.
She was preceded in death by her children, Jeff Patton and Chuck Patton, and by her son-in-law, Scott Hiatt. Their memories remained close to her heart, and she carried her love for them throughout her life.
Beverly chose to donate her body to IU Medical, a final act that reflected her generous spirit and her desire to help others. Her life was one of quiet strength, devotion, and enduring love, and she will be remembered with deep affection by all who knew her. Beverly Sue Patton will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.
