Help is on the way for Indiana’s volunteer firemen, in added funding for their expenses while doing their civic duties. The new law allows the volunteer firefighter allowance to rise from 100 dollars a year, to 250 dollars; Jasper State Senator Darryl Schmitt feels the added funding will be good for the fire units—and for the communities they serve.
The action is part of a Legislative move to show appreciation to those staffing the state’s volunteer fire departments.
