Knox County election officials are reporting a bit heavier numbers than normal for early voting, with one week left until Election ay.
As of Monday, over 11-hundred 50 voters have cast early ballots. The Knox County Clerk’s office has also reported 153 mail ballots have been sent out, with 95 returned. They have also signed up 50 voters to cast their ballots before a traveling election board.
Early voting will take place the rest of this week in the garage at the former Knox County Jail from eight to four each day. That is located across 8th Street from the Knox County Courthouse.
Also, early voting will be at the garage site, and at locations in Bicknell and Monroe City, Saturday from 8 am to 3 pm. The final early votes will be taken from eight to noon Monday at the former Jail garage. On Election Day, votes will be taken at 13 vote centers across Knox County from six a-m to six p-m.
