The Vincennes City Council has approved a designation of downtown Vincennes as a designated outdoor refreshment area in downtown Vincennes. The idea is to allow the legal consumption of alcoholic drinks in that area.
Vincennes City Council president Brian Grove feels the designation will be good for the various events that are hosted in downtown Vincennes.
The ordinance passed on first reading Monday night. It will come back before City Council for possible final passage later this month.
