The Knox County Commissioners have approved a restart of a committee to consider space concerns for County government. The new committee will consist of three members—one Knox County Commissioner, and two Knox County Councilmen.
On a 2-1 vote, the Commissioners selected Tim Ellerman the Second to sit on the committee. Kellie Streeter was the lone no vote. In her comments, she was not concerned with Ellerman’s credentials, but was with some alleged negative comments about the project itself. In his response last night, Ellerman shared his concerns over increasing County debt, in light of paying for the expansions at the Knox County Jail.
Knox County Council will select their two representatives in an upcoming meeting.
