Date Changed to March 25th for Knox and Daviess County Severe Storm Spotter Training

The date has been changed for Knox and Daviess County Severe Storm Spotter Training.

The training has been rescheduled from February 29th to Monday, March 25th at the Vincennes University Technology Center located at 1300 North Chestnut Street in Vincennes.

The session will be hosted by the Knox County Emergency Management Agency.

The training session, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM, will be conducted by the National Weather Service Indianapolis Office and is free to the public.

No registration is required.

The training rotates between Knox and Daviess Counties every year to provide residents an opportunity to learn about severe weather safety and basic storm spotting operations.

Topics presented include basic radar understanding, identifying severe weather cloud features, spotter location, reporting criteria, and others.
