Community members fro across the area came out yesterday to donate new and gently used coats, and other items, as part of “Coats for Kids.” The coats were collected yesterday in front of the Brevoort House in downtown Vincennes/
The coats were given to the Knox County Salvation Army. Salvation Army commander Joey Gates knows the weather right now isn’t coat-friendly, but knows it will be before long. Gates says the donated coats will be turned around quickly, and will be ready next week for donation to those who need them.
Christmas signups for the Knox County Salvation Army begin that day, and continue through the day before Thanksgiving– November 27th.
