School choice was a hot topic of debate last night between the three people running for governor of Indiana. Republican Mike Braun stuck to his belief that parents should have the final say on where they send their kids to school, even if they qualify for school voucher money from the state.
Democrat Jennifer McCormick says public money provided by state should only be used to send kids to public school. Libertarian Donald Rainwater said McCormick is somewhat correct, but added that the constitution does not say you can used public money to fund charter or private schools.
