WIN Energy REMC has given grants to four area groups through its “Operation Round Up” program. The effort allows WIN Energy consumers to round up their energy bill tot he next dollar, with the proceeds going to various groups.
This year’s recipients are Sullivan County Park and Lake; the Petersburg Police Department; the Owensville Ministerial Alliance; and the Arthur Foundation. The Petersburg Police got the largest donation– for just over 56-hundred 50 dllars. That wenr for officer safety equpoment.
Overall, WIN Energy gave out nearly 13-thousand, 800 dollars in grants. In the last just over 11 years, WIN Energy has given out 235 grants, totaling over7727-thousand dollars.
