The Gibson County Sheriff’s Office is warning the public to be aware of jury duty scams.
The sheriff’s office received a report of somebody claiming to be Officer Davis with the department calling people and saying they missed jury duty and that there are now warrants issued for their arrest.
They then ask for personal information and payment information to cancel the warrant.
The sheriff’s office says this is a scam and that it will never ask for any kind of payment to cancel a warrant.
