As October starts, harvest is wrapping up in many Knox County fields. Farmers have made good progress in taking in corn and soybeans at the end of the growing season.
Knox County Purdue Extension educator Valerie Clingerman is a bit concerned about late planted beans being taken in before it gets too cold out. Also, Clingerman is looking forward to maturity and harvest of fall-related products.
As for yields, uneven weather during the growing season could mean some fields may be less profitable this year.
