Even in one of the hottest times of the year, the City of Vincennes is thinking about the coming winter. Crews across the City are looking forward toward what issues the colder months can bring with it.
One issue that could be a problem across the area is a nationwide shortage of road salt. Vincennes Mayor Joe Yochum knows even though it seems strange, the time to prepare for the dead of winter is in the heat of a late summer.
With the problems, area officials are hoping for a milder winter than the one that hit the area last season.
