Law enforcement in area communities and counties are working overtime through Monday looking for drivers under the influence of drugs or alcohol. That includes city and county officials throughout both Knox and Daviess counties.
They are teaming up with the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute for the national “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign.
State officials say alcohol played a role in nearly 23 percent of Indiana’s traffic deaths last year — and drugs were involved in more than 41 percent.
