The PACE Community Action Agency will start taking applications for its Energy Assistance program again on October first. The assistance is for those in need who meet income guidelines.
PACE’s Courtney Welage says a large number of applicants submitted forms to get the energy credit.
Welage reminds everyone their assistance is not for total relief—but to make things easier for families in need.
The assistance is a one-time credit to your main heating-related bill. Usually, the assistance is available from around November to around May of the next year.
