The City of Vincennes is planning to honor its sister city of Ovruch, Ukraine in the future. The two cities signed a sister city pact in October of last year.
Vincennes Mayor Joe Yochum notes the Ukranian community is one of three sister cities recognized by the City of Vincennes. Mayor Yochum hints to some coming activities that will highlight the high points of Ovruch’s cultural donations.
Last year’s sister city signing came during an ongoing conflict between the countries of Ukraine and Russia.
