The Vincennes Animal Shelter is in the middle of a reduced-cost dog adoption event, to help reduced a very full dog population. Shelter director Leah Raigen is asking the public to step up to help them reduce the numbers. As school has started, foot traffic has lowered somewhat at the Shelter. Raigen reminds everyone they still welcome anyone who wants to visit them.
At this time, Shelter officials have reduced their adoption fee to 25 dollars per dog. Workers at the Shelter have also kept up on various medical needs for the dogs that are still looking for their forever homes.
