The Washington City Council voted Monday night to approve a municipal Wheel Tax and Motor Vehicle License Excise Tax, creating dedicated funds for each.
The taxes are intended to help fund local road repairs and qualify the city for matching state infrastructure grants.
Council also approved a temporary moratorium on data center development.
Both ordinances were approved following public hearings earlier in the evening.
