Indiana has acquired 51 acres in Greene County, expanding Martin State Forest to 9,735 acres.
The DNR says the acquisition will strengthen long-term conservation efforts and expand outdoor recreation opportunities in southern Indiana.
The $270,000 purchase was funded by the President Benjamin Harrison Conservation Trust and the Indiana Natural Resources Foundation Tree Fund.
