Vincennes Water Utilities officials have benefited from over three million dollars in grants provided through the READI initiative. The grants were provided to regions across Indiana to improve infrastructure and other needed areas across Indiana.
V-W-U general manager Kirk Bouchie knows the funding directly benefited not only the community—but some local contractors. Bouchie also knows the funding stemmed directly from one of the world’s biggest health emergencies earlier this decade.
The work includes extension of water and sewer lines to assist business and residences in southern and eastern Vincennes.
