Vincennes-based PACE Head Start is seeking applications for its home-based Early Head Start program. Early Head Start is for aged birth to three years old, to prepare children and parents for coming educational challenges.
PACE Head Start coordinator Billie Nicholas says there is a wait list for the regular Head Start program, but plenty of home-based spaces open. Nicholas also reminds parents even though Head Start has a wait list, is it based on need—and not on waiting list wait times.
The actual preschool Head Start program is for children age three to five. It is based in across PACE’s core counties of Knox, Daviess, Greene, and Sullivan.
