Tomorrow will be the day for the third annual Knox County large item collection at Republic Services’ location on Second Street in Vincennes. The free large item collection will be available from eight to noon this Saturday.
Some items—including paint, hazardous waste, industrial waste, and electronic devices—will not be accepted tomorrow. Knox County Commissioners president T-J Brink reminds everyone that those may be taken to the County’s Solid Wate Management District headquarters during regular business hours. The Knox County Health Department is a partner for this collection. Health Department director Alan Stewart says if the past is a gauge, they don’t expect really long lines.
Officials will check ID’s at the gate, since the collection is for Knox County residents only. Vincennes residents are also welcome to participate in tomorrow’s large item collection.
