Saturday will be the day for the third annual Knox County large item collection at Republic Services’ location on Second Street in Vincennes. The free large item collection will be available from eight to noon this Saturday.
The collection is a partnership between the County and the Knox County Health Department. Department director Alan Stewart says even though it may be a bit more expensive for the County this year, it’s worth it. Knox County Commissioner T-J Brink knows firsthand the cleanup day’s idea is to help those who need it most.
Officials will check ID’s at the gate, since the collection is for Knox County residents only. That includes anyone in the City
