The start of May marks a ramping up of various construction projects across Knxo County and the entire area.
Two of those projects are set to start today. One of those is a bridge deck overlay on State Road 67 south of Bruceville. INDOT spokesman Gary Bryan says the work on the bridge over Smalls Creek is a touch-up operation. The other project to start today is a one-lane construction season-long restriction for U-S 41 between Kelso Creek at Vincennes, and State Road 241 near Decker
One continuing project is the work on U-S 50 near the iNdiana-Illinois border. Bryan expects that lane restriction to continue for the next several months.
The work is centered on the bridge overpassing Lower Fort Knox Road. Lower Fort Knox Road at the overpass will also continue to be affected through at least late fall.
