The Vincennes Police Department has started a patrol blitz to deter distracted driving and speeding. The campaign is being sponsored by the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute, or I-C-J-I. The speeding and distracted driving targeted campaign will run for the next week—until Monday, April 13th.
The group will pay for police overtime hours to pull over drivers allegedly involved in speeding or distracted driving.
The action is part of the Comprehensive Driving Injury Reduction Program.
