The Marion County Election Board has reported Indiana Secretary of State Diego Morales to the Inspector General for claims that he violated state law by using state resources for personal gain. Morales did not attend a meeting where the board detailed their concerns. The board claims Morales had state staffers shoot video of a visit to the Election Board Service Center in 2024, which he later used in a campaign ad. Despite being asked to remove the video, Morales refused, citing its prior use on official social media channels. The Election Board has barred Morales from the Election Service Center for the rest of the 2026 election season.
