Restoration work on the Vincennes Memorial Bridge could happen this spring. The work would place restored façade back on the bridge.
Officials at the National Park Service are overseeing the work, through the nearby Gorge Rogers Clark National Park.
The dismantling of the Memorial Bridge faceade happened a couple of years ago. The stones laid at the French Commons for a long while before being cleaned. Federal officials also had to find a contractor to restore the bridge; once th4ey did, the project picked back up to full speed.
