The season of Christmas giving is long gone, but the Knox County Salvation Army is still helping the community. Salvation Army officials hope the volunteer spirit that shone bright during the recent holiday season will continue into the rest of the year.
Salvation Army commander Joey Gates recaps the volunteer goving made by the community in the recent Christmas season.
However, Gates reminds everyone even though the busy season is over, they still need help because need knows no season.
Among the other happenings for the Salvation Army is various programs to help people help themselves. Also, the Salvation Army summer camp season will also be happening this summer at the Hidden Falls camp east of Bedford.
