Washington Man Charged with Murder in Weekend Shooting

      Washington Police arrested 21-year-old Ashton Lee Baxter of Washington Saturday for Murder, Battery Committed with a Deadly Weapon, and Criminal Recklessness with a Deadly Weapon.
      Police were called to the area of Southwest First Street and Dewey Avenue around 3:30 Saturday afternoon concerning a man who had been shot.
      It was reported that multiple shots had been fired.
      The victim was identified as 51-year-old Phillip Waggoner.
     Baxter is being held without bond in the Daviess County Security Center.
      The investigation is ongoing.
