It was a 3-0 night for Knox County Volleyball teams.
Vincennes Lincoln evened its record at 1-1 with a 3-0 win at Pike Central.
Amya Woodall had 11 points and 16 digs for the Alices.. Cami Treadway had 12 points
and nine digs. Kiaya Farrar recorded 7 kills and four stuff blocks while Cynthia Memering
added 17 assists. The Lincoln JV posted a 2-0 win over Pike Central. Emma Cunningham
had 11 points and Presley Davis seven assists.
Two new coaches picked up their first wins of the year. Gabby Hancock and her
Rivet Patriots beat Bloomfield 3-0 to move to 1-1 on the season. North Knox coach Jessica Snyder won in her coaching debut as North Knox blanked Dugger Union 3-0.
In Boys soccer action…South Knox defeated Evansville Christian 4-2.
Braydon Loudermilk had a pair of goals for the Spartans while Jakob
Graman and Malaki Downen also had South Knox goals.
Sullivan downed Rivet 4-1. Blaze Boger had the Rivet goal
While Cooper Stricklin had nine saves in goal.
The Rivet girls’ soccer team is a perfect 3-0 after a 4-0 win over Sullivan. Lissa
Willis had a hat-trick while Alli Stearns posted her second shutout of the season
in goal.
The South Knox tennis team beat South Spencer 4-1. Winning in singles play were
Ely Baker and Layne Hayes. Posting Doubles wins were Reid Martin and Issac True at
Number one and Maddox Sargeant and Avery Deckard at number two.
In Middle School Action…
Clark took all three matches from Loogootee last night. The 8th grade won 2-0 with Lauren Kiel
led Clark with five kills while Hadley Piper added five aces. The 7th grade also posted a 2-0 win.
Mia Fleetwood had three kills and four assists. The Clark 6th grade won 25-17. Marissa Cunningham
led CMS with three aces.
The Clark boys soccer team lost to Pike Central 5-1. Levi Klingler had the only goal while Parker
James nine assists. The Clark girls won 2-1. Brinley Catt and Mauriana Moore had goals for CMS.
