Even as finishing work continues on Washington Avenue Phase One, crews are setting the groundwork for Washington Avenue Phase Two. That work is expected to start in the 2027 construction season.
Vincennes Mayor Joe Yochum knows the second phase of work will involved a lot more homes. Phase Two covers the street from Emison southward to Saint Clair. Mayor Yochum also informs everyone the Washington and Saint Clair intersection will also be affected.
City officials will continue working on the preparation pieces for Phase Two until actual construction starts in about two and a half years.
