A Vincennes man was sentenced to 140 years in prison following a guilty plea on 19 charges of possessing of distributing child-related sexual material.
Zachary Stewart received the sentencing earlier this week as part of a hearing in Knox Circuit Court. The sentence to the 38 year-old Stewart was part of a plea agreement in the case; the change of plea hearing was held this summer.
Stewart was originally arrested in the case in March of 2023. The 140-year sentence was requested by Knox County Prosecutor Dirk Carnahan. Stewart was taken to the Knox County Jail in preparation to serve his sentence.
