Vincennes Lincoln junior baseball catcher Cooper Collins’ decision, made last night in a public ceremony in the L-H-S Cafeteria. Collins chose the Aggis over four other schools that he had named as finalists for his signature.
Collins will be the first Lincoln player to play baseball in the Southeastern Conference. However, he believes he is following in the footsteps of other Vincennes baseball legends who came before him—as well as a legendary St./ Louis Cardinals’ catcher Yadier Molina.
Collins will now settle into his junior season this spring at L-H-S before heading off to College Station, Texas, for his collegiate tenure after graduation.
