The work continues toward prioritizing Vincennes’ roads for ongoing state-sponsored paving projects. The State of Indiana has awarded community crossing matching grants– or CCMG– to assist local government groups with paving since 2016.
The streets are scored for their needs on the PASER system. That road scoring method is mandated by the Indiana Department of Transportation. Vincennes City Engineer John Sprague explains says the PASER scoring criteria was updated a couple of years ago, at his request.
The City of Vincennes is required to post a 50 percent match for any federal dollars they get from INDOT .
