Angela M. Hamilton, age 65, passed away peacefully at home with family by her side on August 13, 2025. Angie lived a very courageous life. Born in 1960, to Richard J. Burke and Mitzi (Charles Perkins). Angie was Raised to Life in 2011, baptized as a devoted member of Thursday Church. Her Mother, Father, and brother, Rick K Burke preceded her in death; along with her spouse, Gene Hamilton. Gene and Angie married in 1982. They raised two daughters, Karen Burke Bible and Kelly Burke Roth. The Hamiltons enjoyed many years surrounded by their grandchildren, Kaitlyn Booth, Brandon Triplett, Cameron Roth, Parker Hyatt, and Emily Bible. Angie loved cheering the grandchildren on at their various activities. She was the world’s best Nana. Angie also cared deeply for her beloved fur-children: Sugar, Thomas, Lucy, Violet, and Frank.
Angie worked most of her career at Good Samaritan Hospital. She was honored to receive the GSH President’s Award in 2011. Angie made many lifelong friends during her career at GSH. Friends describe her as a true friend, kind, passionate, always smiling, and laughing. She was inspiring during her cancer journey and was a real fighter up until the end. Angie was very involved in her church. She was a fierce prayer warrior. She also loved to garden and craft. She especially enjoyed painting, puzzles, cooking, and hosting friends and family at home. She was a proud advocate for cancer patients.
Angie’s graveside service will be provided by Frederick & Son McClure Utt Funeral Home on August 23, 2025, at 10:30 am at Memorial Park Cemetery in Vincennes, with Pastor Debbie Salters officiating. Honorary Pallbearers include her sons-in-law, Bryan Bible and Dan Roth, and a brother, John “Tony” Perkins. Dinner for the family will be provided after the service.
