My Thoughts: Getting six runs gives you a pretty good feeling that your team is going to pick up a win, but it’s an issue when you give up 12 runs in the process. Miles Mikolas looked to have turned the corner in his previous two games, but in this one, the Dodgers made him pay with the home runs and put five runs on Miles as he only got through three innings. The offense did fight back, but tonight was just the Dodgers’ night. Tomorrow will be for the series win, and the Cardinals will face off against Shohei Ohtani, who will most likely only be allowed to go four innings, so the Cardinals will face a lot of the Dodgers’ bullpen, where the Cardinals have put runs up this series.
Next Up: The Cardinals will send out Mathew Liberatore to face off against Shohei Ohtani. This will be an afternoon game with first pitch scheduled for 3:10 PM CST on Bally Sports Midwest.
