A developer with interest in historic areas is moving forward with plans for an 89 unit apartment complex in downtown Vincennes. The “Firehouse Flats” project would be set up in the area near the City Fire monument between Main and Vigo Streets.
The group A-P Development is behind the plan. A-P Development spokesman John Anderson gives the way they would finance much of the 24-million dollar, four-story complex. Anderson lays out how their new housing area would be funded on their end.
The remainder of the funding wo uld be provided by both the R-D-C, and Lilly endowment READI money. The complex is part of an overall City plan to improve the quantity and quality of both single-family and nulti-family residential units.
