(Comm—EOC bid consideration)(Wednesday 7/2/25 … tlz 6a)
The Knox County Commissioners reviewed bids have reviewed bids for the planned Emergency Operations Center. When finished, the E-O-C would be placd on the former Poor Farm grounds on Hart Street Road, just east of Vincennes.
Vincennes’ Wolfe Construction had the lowest bid, at just under 3.7 million dollars. Wolfe’s bid—along with those from Tablr-Owens and S-C-S Cosntruction—were over the project’s budget. Commissionrs’ president T-J Brink says it is time to consider ways to cut the project’s cost. Commissioner Kellie Streeter knows the project is a big need—especially to give Knox County E-911 a proper home.
The Commissioners will get together with both Wolfe and Tabor-Owens to consider ways to get the E-O-C done within the County’s budget.
