An initial hearing is planned today in Knox Circuit Court for 23 year-old Madalyn Dennis. Dennis is charged with five counts of comspiracy to commit attempted murder, in the shooting of a victim near Autumn Ridge Apartments.
Dennis is accused of driving a suspect vehicle where the shots allegedly came from. The un-named victim was shot in the head above the right ear. Another person in the shot-up blue Mazda drove the victim to Good Samaritan Hospital. The shooting victim was later transferred to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville for brain surgery to remove the bullet. The shooting victim was conscious at Good Samaritan Hospital, and answered questions.
Five people were in the targeted blue Mazda, leading to the five conspiracy counts against Dennis. Jail records show she was arrested in Lawrence County Illinois, and transferred from there back to Knox County. he is being held on 75-thousand dollars bash bond in the Knox County Jail. The alleged triggerman in the shooting is still at large at this time.
