The property tax cuts, and final overall budget, is now set for the next two years in Indiana. The approved budget will mean lesser revenue for municipal and county governments across Indiana.
Vincennes Mayor Joe Yochum estimates even though the final totals aren’t in yet, the cuts could make a significant cut in Vincennes’ tax revenue. Mayor Yochum says the funding reduction will add increased emphasis to a planned discussion of changes to the City’s trash collection.
Even if changes happen to the trach collection, Mayor Yochum has made it clear he wants the collection to remain a Vincennes City-provided service.
