March is here, meaning warmer weather and full=on preparation for planting season. Many farmers are getting ready for planting this year’s crops in the next couple of months.
Knox County Purdue Extension educator Valerie Clingerman expects ramped up planting starting sometime next month, Clingerman also reminds everyone the right time to plant also goes beyond just weather and optimum planting dates.
Farmers across the area are hopeful for good planting windows from late March through May, to get their crops in the ground for this growing season.
