As flu cases in this region climb, area hospitals are putting temporary visitor restrictions in place as part of the Community Patient Safety Coalition of Southwest Indiana.
The restrictions prohibit visitors with symptoms of illness such as sudden onset of fever, cough, headache, muscle and joint pain, sore throat, and runny nose.
And no visitors under the age of 16 will be allowed.
Masks will be available and encouraged for guests by the facility.
The Community Patient Safety Coalition includes Good Samaritan Hospital, Daviess Community Hospital, and the Deaconess Health System which includes Memorial Hospital in Jasper.
