Glenda Carol “Hess” Reynolds, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, passed away on February 9, 2025, at 5:09 a.m., at the age of 91. Glenda was born on August 9, 1933, in Shelburn, Indiana, to John I. and Naomi “Beach” Hess. She grew up in Pontiac, Michigan, with her siblings Norma Moody, Judy Langendorf, and Rebecca Sullivan.
Glenda attended Pontiac Michigan High School. On October 4, 1952, Glenda married Wilbur L. Reynolds, and they lived in Gary, Indiana, and then retired to Bicknell, Indiana, where they lived until Wilbur’s death on December 11, 2008. Glenda was “Mom” to 3 children who survive her: John (Debbie) Reynolds of Valparaiso, Indiana, Brett (Judy) Reynolds of Freelandville, Indiana, and Eric (Lori) Reynolds of Knox, Indiana. She is also survived by a sister, Rebecca Sullivan of LaPorte, Indiana, six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Glenda attended Edwardsport and Bicknell Baptist Churches. Glenda was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Wilbur L. Reynolds, her parents, two of her sisters, Norma Moody and Judy Langendorf, a stepson, and three sisters-in-law.
Glenda was an avid Colts Football fan and loved talking to anyone and everyone about anything. She was a true “people person”. After the death of her husband, Glenda and her sister had several wonderful vacations together to Hawaii, the football Hall of Fame, and many other places.
There will be a public visitation on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Fredrick and Son McClure-Utt Funeral Home, Bicknell Chapel, with services following at 1:00 p.m., officiated by Rev. John Trotter. Entombment will follow at the Bicknell Memorial Cemetery Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, P.O.
