Vincennes Mayor Joe Yochum plans to end an agreement with Knox County to take their dogs at the Vincennes Animal Shelter. The two sides have had an interlocal agreement for the City to take County animals for a fee per animal.
A recent incident with a dog found at the Melon Patch brought the issue to a head. Vincennes Mayor Joe Yochum plans to tell the Commissioners this morning, “no more.”
However, Mayor Yochum will propose a different idea for the County to handle the animals they take in.
