Today is the first day of early voting across Indiana, as Hoosier voters prepare to select candidates for the May fifth primary election. In Knox County, early voting will happen in the sally port of the old Knox County Jail on 8th Street, across from the Knox County Courthouse.
As for the actual May fifth election day, Knox County Clerk David Shelton says the County’s vote centers will be the same—with one exception, That will be the Wheatland vote CEnter, which will be relocated to the new Wheatland Town Hall. Shelton reminds everyone who votes early, or on Election Day, to have proper I-D with them whenever they vote.
Early voting will happen during regular business hours at the 8th Street location. Also, on two Saturdays—April 25th and May second—voting will happen at the Vincennes location, along with the Bicknell firehouse, and the Blue Jeans Center in Monroe City. The early vote centers for those Saturdays will be open from eight a-m to three p-m both days.
