The Gibson County Sheriff’s Office says a Princeton woman is facing drug charges after an sheriff’s deputy offered her a ride earlier this week.
35-year-old Jenny Garner was seen walking on State Road 64 near County Road 800 West.
She told a sheriff’s deputy that her Lyft driver had left her in Mount Carmel, Illinois, and she was walking to Princeton.
The deputy offered Garner a ride back to Princeton which she accepted.
Before she was allowed in the vehicle a consensual search for weapons was conducted in which a controlled substance was found in her possession.
