The area is mourning the passing of a longtime on-air voice of Vincennes radio station WZDM. Former WZDM Morning Show voice Ed Ballinger passed away in an Indianapolis hospital on Wednesday.
Since the late 1990’s, Ed has been the afternoon announcer for WZDM, before moving to the morning snow upon the death of Dave Young. He had also taken Young’s place as play by play announcer for Vincennes Lincoln after Young’s passing. Before that, he had been Vincennes Rivet’s basketball play by play voice since the late 1990’s.
Funeral arrangements for Ed Ballinger are pending. He is survived by his wife Jill, and his grown children Nathan and Jensen.
